March Favourites | 2015

Where's March gone? Oh God, time is flying by...

Since this month has come to its end, it means it's time for another month favourites! 

BEAUTY

Actually, there's nothing really new here. I've talked about the Clinique Chubby Stick here and the Maybelline ColorTattoo 24hr here. I'm still enjoying them, and still using them!

L'Oréal Hair Expertise Ultra Rich Shampoo - It's so hard to find a shampoo able to discipline my hair, but I think I'm on the right way. This L'Oréal one is doing a great job and I think I'll probably buy the hair mask.

Maybelline BrowDrama Dark Brown - FINALLY. I wanted this gel for so long, but I couldn't find it in my shade. I really really like this one, since now I've been using the Rimmel one but I don't like it at all. With this one my brows are in heaven.

L'Oréal Mega Volume Miss Manga Punky - I've been testing this mascara for almost two weeks now, and if you asked me, two weeks ago, if I did like it I would probably have said a big no to you. But now, I do. It does what the tv advertising says: it makes your lashes look bold and quite spiky (don't worry, not the Barbara Palvin's spiky) and voluminous. If you like this effect, then it's the right one for you. But if you're looking for something more girly, this is not the one. 

This mascara makes my eyes look five times bigger and I love it. The only negative thing is that is quite tricky to take off.

FOOD

Kellogg's Choco Krave - I just- oh, I love these cereals. They're so good, and what makes them taste this nice is their chocolate heart. Mmmh...

MUSIC & MOVIES

Those are mine 'I'm obsessed with these songs and I'm gonna listen 'em until I'll hate them' songs.  

Cinderella and Maleficent are definitely the best movies I've seen in awhile.

Hello, Spring.

My photographer friend and I decided to go outside, yesterday, and took advantage of the amazing sunny day that was. Thanks to her, I had the opportunity to learn new photography things and apply them. And yes, I'm talking about the fourth photo which I'm pretty proud of. Manual focus, I love you.Spring means flowers and sun and warm air and happinness. And allergy.

The 'Me' Make-Up.

I like to try different things, when it comes to make-up, as you can see in my 'Your Face Is Your Canvas' series thing (#1 & #2), but I always end up to my go-to make-up. 

Mr. mascara, Mr. eye-liner and I are old friends: we've been together since I was a 16-year-old girl who was first approaching into the make-up world. In the last year or so, more friends have joined us: eyeshadow, blush, lipstick and gel brow. 

This is basically what I wear when I go out. Now you're asking yourself: where's concealer? Where's foundation? Why am I talking to myself? Well, if it's not a night out, or a day that requires a 'decent' face, I usually don't wear them. As a glasses wearer, it drives me mad when a couple of hours after I put foundation on my face, I can feel that wet feeling between my glasses and my nose. I know, it's pretty gross, but if you wear glasses and foundation, I think you can understand my pain. 

Anyway, after this gentle scenario, there's no new product that you haven't seen already in my blog, except for the L'Oréal Mega Volume Miss Manga Punky.

Sunday Catch-Up #9.

* You know that spring is finally here, when trees are green, pink or any spring color - even if today is cloudy and rainy but, oh well;

* Insurgent. One hour. I'm SO excited;

* I've never been so positive in a long time, and I hope that this feeling will last;

* It's my mom's birthday on Tuesday and I love when it's one's birthday in the family because we can all finally be reunited;

* I had a plan in my mind for almost a year now and I think I'm closer to finally make it real. I just need a dash of courage.

4 YouTubers That You Should Watch.

I love Youtube and I love watching good videos. We all know how Youtube has grown in the past three years, and what it can do. But, in my opinion, there aren't many people worth watching out there, so I would like to share with you who, for me, is great in what he/she does.

MsRosieBea

Rosie is a gorgeous ginger-girl and I love how simple and effective her videos are. She talks about beauty and fashion in general.

sunbeamjess

If your self-esteem is already low, well, after you have watched her videos, you can totally say goodbye to it. I love her editing style, she's just so simple and cool in everything she does.

Will Darbyshire

Will talks about... things. In general. Another human who is simple and does the job perfectly.

Hannah Maggs

Two words: family vlogs. She is beautiful, her husband, Stef, is gorgeous and their son, Grayson, is the cutest child. They post on Sunday, and their vlogs are perfection. I love the editing, the music & their faces.

Father's Day.

Today's Father's Day, here in Italy. My dad is definitely the most important person in my life, and I could not imagine a life without him. 

So, happy Father's Day to my lovely and I-looked-like-Freddie-Mercury-when-I-was-40 father.

Wishlist #2

Okay, here we are, here's another wishlist. Let's cry together.

Dior Hypnotic Poison - I feel like I'm betraying Lancôme, because I ALWAYS bought their perfumes since I was 15/16. But I really do like this Dior perfume, I have the sample and now it's time to buy the bottle.

Essie Fiji - as a nail polishes lover, I need a pale pink in my life.

Rimmel Match Perfection - I've read positive reviews about this foundation, and since I have one that is too dark, and one that is too light, I think I need a foundation that finally matches my skin tone. Am I right?

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush & Blush Brush - I wish they'd sell those, here in Italy. I'll probably buy them soon, I read good reviews about the site/shipping and with the conversion from $ to € you'll save a lot of money!

Robust Rhubarb.

I love blushes, but when it comes to try on your hands all the shades that are in the shop, in order to find the right one, I'm just like 'meh, no' - weird, since I'd spend HOURS trying different lipsticks on my hand. 

I have a few blushes, but they are all in powder and not so pigmented. Chubby sticks were on my mind for awhile now, because they're easy and quick to apply, and I knew the ones from Clinique but I thought they were way too expensive. 

Finally, one day someone decided to gave a 25% off on tot money spent, and that was it: I bought my desired and beloved Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm in Robust Rhubarb. It has nothing to do with rhubarb, is more of a coral shade. 

I apply it dotting a bit on the apples of my cheeks (do NOT drag it up your cheek, it's not gonna work. Trust me) and then slightly blend it with my fingers. Et voilà, le jeux sont fait! It lasts all day long and it's not too creamy, so it doesn't slip off of your cheeks.

I know for sure that this thing will last me for a pretty long time.

Lake Sunset.

I am a huge fan of Yankee candles, in part of because their cute glass jars, but mostly because they are the only candles that once lit, the diffusion of their smell doesn't kill my lungs (this is an indirect to Ikea candles). 

I wanted a scent for the upcoming season, because I was still burning my Snow In Love candle, and since I don't particularly love floral scents, I went for something fresh.

Lake Sunset has a pretty peachy colour, it smells fresh (of course) and it really reminds me of a romantic night spent watching the sunset. Even though I've never had a romantic night spent watching the sunset but, y'know, details.

A Day in Photos.

2. My dad bought to my mum and I those two chocolate hearts (white for me and black for her), for Women's Day. We're both allergic to mimosa and flowers in generals, so chocolate was a good alternative!

4 Items I Can't Live Without.

We all have objects that we can't live without *Material Girl in the background*, and here we have mine.

I bought my Canon in January and since then, there hasn't been a day where I didn't use it. Photo geek problems.  

Ah, glasses. I think you can guess why I can't live without my glasses. If not, you can find more in my 25 Random Facts About Me post!

Last but not least, my iPod 5 and my Ikea notebook. My iPod is ALWAYS in my hands, whether I'm listening to music, or wasting my time on social media, or playing with Hay Day. I believe you're asking yourself: 'why an iPod? What about your phone?' well, because I have a crappy Nokia Lumia 610 which I use only for calls and messages - basically the only two things that it can do. iPhones are cool, but they cost way too much. 

The Ikea notebook is something that I always have with me, it's kind of a diary/something where I like to write quotes that I love.

Pink.

Wow, there's a lot of pink here, isn't it? When it comes to lipsticks, dark and strong colours are at first place, for me, but sometimes a delicate and soft lipstick doesn't hurt. 

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick Scarlet Ghost (720) - Here we a have a light berry colour, it reminds me the Rimmel Kate Moss 107, but it's lighter and not matte. What I love about this lipstick is, of course, the colour and then the fact that doesn't dry out your lips, even if you don't wear lip balm underneath it. 

Chanel Aqualumière Lipshine No. 34 Acapulco - Okay, this is my mom's, because she's way cooler than me and she can wear Chanel. Other than that, at first sight, it looks like a vivid pink, but when applied it's a pretty shimmer pink. My mom will never see this lipstick again. 

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm 205 - I talked about this here a couple of days ago, and I wasn't very happy about it because I noticed that it dries out my lips and I didn't think it would do so because, as the name says, it's a balm. 

But, after a few other tests, if you wear lip balm underneath it, everything goes fine. I really like this pink shade but I'm not really sure about the matte thing, because it doesn't look that matte.  

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick 03 & Deborah Milano Lipliner 01 - I ALWAYS wear these two together and I've already talked about them in previous posts - I believe you can find something in a 'favourites' post. 

This lipstick is the love of my life: it looks like a dusty pink/brown colour and it acquires a matte finish, if you wear the lipliner before it. It might be Velvet Teddy's (Mac) brother. Or cousin.

That Red Lip Classic.

"And I got that red lip classic thing that you like"

Okay, I'm not Taylor Swift, I know *cries in the corner*, but this doesn't stop me from wearing red lipsticks! This is the Rimmel Kate Moss 111, a gorgeous matte red lipstick. 

I also have the 01, which is a bit darker and not matte, and I've noticed that it lasts longer than the 111, which is supposed to last more since is matte.

Anyway, the colour is amazing and I appreciate the fact that is quite easy to apply since matte lipsticks can require a bit of patience.

Oh, Mr Darcy!

I've been obsessed with nude things, recently: nail polishes, lipsticks & co. This is the second nail polish that I own in a light shade, I've always been that type of person who says: 'if you buy a nail polish, you should be able to see it, on your nails' and this means strong and dark colors. But I really do like this one: it is a light shade of beige and you can easily wear eveything when you have this on.

Face of The Night.

I don't know about you, but sometimes it happens that I step out of my bedroom and go out to see what's going on in the world. So, yesterday evening I went out with a couple of friends and up here's what I put on my face!

There's nothing really new here, all products that I've already talked about in previous posts, except for the Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm (205). 

I need time to get to know it, for now I just can tell you that it dries a bit my lips. Because of the word balm I didn't use lip balm underneath it, as I usually do with lipsticks, but maybe that wasn't a great idea... We'll see in the future, I will use lip balm next time, and see what will happen.
